Position title
Senior / Lead DevOps Engineer
Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop automation and processes to enable teams to deploy, manage, configure, scale and monitor their applications in data centers and in cloud
  • Actively participate in high level team activities such as suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements and conducting tool evaluations
  • Help solve business needs with technology by evaluating different technology options and vendor products
  • System troubleshooting and problem solving across platform and application domains - will be expected to participate in on-call escalations to troubleshoot customer facing issues
  • Takes ownership of end-to-end solutions provided by teams across the organization
Requirement
  • 8+ years of solid experience as DevOps Engineer in 24x7 uptime environment
  • Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
  • Solid understanding and experience in working with high availability, high performance, Amazon Web Services operation, maintenance, implementation and design.
  • Comfortable with Agile methodologies and working closely within small teams
  • Comprehensive experience with AWS technologies including S3, RDS, Redshift, EC2, ELB/ALB, IAM, SQS and Route53.
  • Ability to code and script in administrative type language (e.g. Ruby, Python, PowerShell, Bash).
  • Experience with orchestration technologies (e.g. AWS CloudFormation, Terraform).
  • Strong experience with configuration management systems such as Puppet(preferred) or Chef or Ansible.
  • Experience in creating both short and long-term cloud computing technology roadmaps based on an understanding of the organizational strategic directions, technology and business needs.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Linux systems (Redhat/CentOS).
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot complex issues ranging from system resources to application stack traces
  • Experience with version control systems such as SVN and Git
  • Experience in development with scripting languages
  • Experience with AWS technologies
